Henry Boot has been at the forefront of building and civil engineering in the UK for over 100 years and is today established as one of the leading property and construction based companies in the country.

The origins of the company go back over 120 years when local farmer's son, Henry Boot, started his one-man construction business in 1886 to carry out modest jobbing work in the Sheffield and surrounding area.

He rapidly expanded into large-scale public works and housing projects throughout the country and, with his son Charles, built the foundations of the company's proud history.
